The building was designed in the territorial style-around an existing
visitors center building and is approximately 4500 s.f. in area
with stucco-adobe look exterior walls, metal roof and exterior
portals with wood rafters and posts.

Corps of Engineers and are developing several recreational support
facilities within the park including this 5000 s.f. visitor center.

and future recreation use of Lathrop State Park. Developing new
amenities, upgrading campground facilities, and facilitating current
use patterns through site improvements were some of the changes
identified in the Master Plan document.
