For the Lathrop State park visitors center, Design Edge, P.C. designed a building in a vernacular style of architecture variously referred to as “Mountain Hispanic” or “Territorial style”. The building was designed around an existing visitors center building and is approximately 5000 square feet in area with stucco adobe look exterior walls, metal roof, and exterior portals with wood rafters and posts. The visitor center has interpretive exhibits of the flora and fauna of the region. The building itself is an interpretive display of the architecture of the area in the 19th and early part of the 20th Century
