The Locust residence was designed as a custom project. The owners of this home had a strong desire to make this pop-top and addition look as if the house was originally constructed as a two story residence. A 2nd story was added and an addition of the backside of the house as well. The existing stairs to the basement were relocated and made into a main feature centered in the home tracking from the basement to the upstairs. This traditional home was designed and constructed to take advantage of the existing structure while incorporating modern amenities and comforts for the owners. Exterior materials were carried up from the main floor into the second story to break that distinct line from old to new.
